Daily Devotional – 4/23/19 “Dear God,”

Dear God,

There’s a cry, within our city, that isn’t being heard and that is why I’m asking you to open our ears to hear. Father, we are losing too many of our children and adults to mental illness and suicide. Too many of our children are dying because of bullying and too much blood is being shed. God, pull back the curtains because this is no longer a thing we can continue to cover and hide. Families need help. Husbands and wives need help. Sons and daughters need help. Preachers and pastors need help. Doctors and lawyers need help. Principals and teachers need help. From the CEO to the janitor, from the servant to the one being served and from the lowest to the highest; we need help. For those contemplating suicide; don’t let the gun go off, don’t let the pills and alcohol work and don’t let the cut be deep enough. Stay the hand of the enemy that is fighting against the preacher/pastor who is doing all they can.

Let the person who need help, say it and then seek it. Let their cry be heard today by somebody who can help. Give us the power to not only write, I’m praying for you but also pray. My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from us, yet not as we will, but as You will. Hear the cry and heal the land. God, give those who seek you, an ear to hear the cry, eyes to see the signs, the mind to comprehend and the anointing to help. We need it God. We need you God. Send forth intercessors who will cry loud and spare not. Remove the veil from those who use your name in vain and bring forth those who has your ear and can turn things around. Convert the worship places back to hospitals and the altars to operating rooms. Send forth shepherds who have a heart to serve your sheep. Give us a mind to create war rooms, use them and then let us fight, by your might. For we’ve got to survive this! Dear God, have thine way.

Let the redeemed of the Lord say,
Amen.
