Daily Devotional – 2/7/18 “Heroine Addict”

I don’t know if you are aware of this but I recently released a women’s journal titled Heroine Addict. When people see the word HEROINE, they automatically think of the drug heroin but this isn’t what I am referring to. I am referencing the heroine or female hero that you are. See, a heroine is defined as a woman admired or idealized for her courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. And the purpose of this journal is to get you to believe in yourself, for a change. Why? Because your destiny depends on it. This is why you need to become a heroine addict, addicted to the heroine you are. Oh, I know today may be a day you don’t feel like a heroine especially when it seems like everything is hitting you at once. Bills behind, head hurting, nose running, child got in trouble at school, nail in the tire, folk on the job acting crazy, stomach growling, hair needs to be fixed and on top of that you chipped a nail. You got folk calling you from the church because you’ve been volunteered to be chairperson of women’s day. Folk texting who needs encouragement and the fact is, you don’t feel like encouraging yourself and them either. Yet you do it because your strength lies in God and not your natural body or mind because you believe what God said.

For bible shares in Luke 1:45, “And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.” This was talking about Mary, whom responded in Luke 1:46-50, “Oh, how my soul praises the Lord. How my spirit rejoices in God my Savior! For he took notice of his lowly servant girl, and from now on all generations will call me blessed. For the Mighty One is holy, and he has done great things for me. He shows mercy from generation to generation to all who fear him.” See, when you step into your rightful place and claim your title of Heroine, it is not only for you but for generations that will come after you. This is why we have to stop passing down generational curses and instead give generational cures to the chosen and the called. We can no longer sit by and wait to see if it’ll happen because the time is now to walk into destiny with our heads held high, loudly proclaiming, “I am a Heroine Addict” because greatness lies within me. No longer shall I be ashamed of who I am when I know whose I am. I am of noble quality and of royal lineage and I will act like it. And I’ll walk in greatness, even if it hasn’t arrived yet because I believe what I heard and I heard somebody say, “God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.”
