You’re sitting around waiting for stuff to happen and then get mad when they don’t. You want stuff to drop in your lap and then get an attitude when nothing falls. You expect God to come and see about you yet you won’t go when He sends you somewhere. At what point will you get up to get your blessing? When will you get up to get exactly what you’ve been asking for? You’re begging, in prayer, for a job yet you haven’t filled out one application. You keep asking God to heal you yet you won’t take the medicine the doctor prescribed. You keep asking for deliverance from your addiction yet you’re still swallowing pills or alcohol, filling your veins with poison, shopping, seeking out those who you can devour (adultery) or whatever else you’re addicted too. When will you do your part? When will you get up? When will you release all the things that you’ve been tied too and get up? When will you get up and let go of that woman’s husband, that man’s wife, that car or house you can’t afford, that abusive spouse, that stressful job, that child that’s sucking you dry, that woe is me attitude or that hate that’s making you bitter? Oh, please note; it is your choice because you can sit back and allow things to pass you by but don’t hinder me. Don’t try to trip me up from walking into my destiny, don’t try to pull me down on the way up to my elevation and don’t try to talk me out of my blessing because you’re mad. The only difference between you and I, I got up!
Yea, see the bible says in Romans 12:6, “Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them,” which means you have to get up. This scripture goes on to say in verses 7-8, “If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.” To sum it up, if you have a talent or gift, use it and if you’re capable of doing it, do it! All you have to do is believe it for yourself, have faith that it can be done, ask for it and then get up to get it! This is why 2 Corinthians 5:7 says, “For we walk by faith, not by sight,” because if we used only our sight to take us into places or to meet folk, we would probably miss out on a lot of things. So today, I stopped by to tell you that in order to get your healing, your blessing, your gift, your tears dried, your bank account increased, your territory enlarged, your heart mended, your mind regulated, your situation changed, your obstacles moved, your husband or your wife, your career, your home, your car, your happiness back, your sleep back, comfort and sun after your storm; you need to have some faith that can’t be shaken by the storm, moved by the wind, knocked down by folk, stepped on by your enemies and counted out by you; you need to GET UP, grab your faith and get to work! With even a mustard seed type of faith and God’s promise ALL things are possible.
